Nada Lewis has been teaching private lessons on accordion, ensemble
classes, music camp workshops, and U.S. and Canadian festival workshops for many
years. Now Nada, a professional accordionist, bandleader, recording artist and music
teacher, is accepting new accordion students of all levels and experience. We focus
on having fun as you become a more proficient accordionist. Easy exercises customized
for you, as well as building a sweet repertoire you really enjoy! Play beautiful waltzes, passionate
tangos, breathtaking polkas, hot horas, or slow sweet songs. Nada specializes in
the folk and dance music of Europe -- romantic French and Italian songs; Greek, Russian,
Bulgarian, Yugoslav, and Romanian tunes; passionate Roma (Gypsy) melodies, Balkan
songs with their wild rhythms; Klezmer/Israeli/Sephardic music; Celtic reels &
Irish airs; Latin and American standards, and much more. What kind of music would
you like to play?Lessons are generally about an hour. They are geared to your goals,
pace, and music preferences. Nada teaches in the San Francisco Bay Area, about 10
minutes up the freeway from Berkeley.
Nada, a multi-instrumentalist, is also available to teach group
workshops anywhere: accordion and/or other instrumental combinations.
